The Car Wars Internet Newsletter is an electronic mail magazine dedicated to Car Wars, the auto-combat board game published by Steve Jackson Games. CWIN is the successor to the Car Wars Mailing List, bi-weekly e-mail newsletter published by High Velocity Dueling from 1996 to 1998. When HVD ended operation of the Car Wars Mailing List in February 1998, the Seattle Washington Autoduel Team launched CWIN.
Every issue of CWIN includes:
* results and descriptions of gaming group and tournament
Car
Wars events
* variant rules for arena circuits and roleplaying
campaigns
* announcements of new Car
Wars material on the Internet
* gadget ideas and vehicle designs
* arena maps, scenarios and campaign ideas
* articles and vehicle designs for RPGs such as
GURPS
Autoduel and d20
Redline
* short stories set in auto-combat worlds such as
the Car Wars board game and the Mad
Max movie trilogy
* reviews of autodueling media
* suppoert for other auto-combat board games such
as Road-Kill Rally, Dark Future, Wreckage and KRASH.
Issues are scheduled in 2008 to be sent to subscribers each month. During the spring of each year the entire volume of the previous year is uploaded to this archive.
CWIN is published entirely by volunteers. CWIN will accept most articles discussing Car Wars and other auto-combat tabletop games.
