Game Tools - Counters
When playing Car Wars, players use counters -- small paper cutouts with pictures -- to symbolize the location of their cars, dropped weapons, and other things that appear on the field of battle. The game usually comes with enough counters for a standard game. However, there is usually not enough for a large scale battle. Trying to buy some more can become fairly costly since Car Wars expansion packs have been out of print for quite some time.
To help conserve money, AVRO has produced its own set of counters of dropped weapons and stuff. Note: Due to the huge possibilities in possible shapes, sizes and styles, we did not produce any vehicle or pedestrian counters.
You are welcome to use our counters. here is our main
counter sheet (76 Kb) that we use. Usually, we adjust it to fit the
number and type of counters as our needs dicate. Below are the various
types of counters that we produced:
(Note: The mine counter with the 1/4" white border symbolizes the potential
contact area of a normal mine. The 1/2" white border is for Spider Mines.)
(junk dropper, debris, obstacle, grenade, on fire, hovercraft vector
arrow)
(Note: The spike counter with the 1/4" white border symbolizes the potential
contact area of spikes.)
