The High Velocity Dueling Car Wars Mailing List (HVD CWML) was a Car Wars E-Mail newsletter published bi-weekly. James D. Barton, editor of HVD, published the HVD CWML from November 1996 to February 1998.

Because of university commitments, Mr. Barton ended publication of the CWML in February 1998. Refusing to let such a valuable resource for Car Wars pass into history, the Seattle Washington Autodueling Team (SWAT) stepped into the position of CWML Publisher. The name CWML was changed to CWIN and its frequency was changed from bi-weekly to monthly.
